DNA

D.N.A. Brewing Organization started in 2009 in San Francisco, California. Douglas Shelton, and Naoko Hishikawa began purchasing do it yourself ingredients from SAN FRANCISCO BREWCRAFT. The first beer made was a Red Ale, created by Doug & Naoko, which they called Ginner, as in beginner. Eventually, they invited Atiim Chenzira to collaborate on a Heffeweisen beer, which lead to Doug's brilliant idea of Haiti Hopeaweisen, mixing with Atiim's idea of fundraising through community collaborative shows. After discussing the two ideas, ingredients, and connecting with other local brewers, The DNA Brewing Organization was born, and charity beer began to ferment.
